Privacy policy
What information the Dartmann app collects, why, who can see it, and your rights over it.
Last updated 5 November 2026
1. Who we are
Dartmann is run by Brandon Leccacorvi ("Dartmann", "we", "us") at The Treddy. We decide how the information described here is used, which makes us its controller under UK data protection law.
If you have a question about this policy or your information, email marketing@thelilybankagency.co.uk.
2. What we collect
When you have a Dartmann account, or our staff create a member record for you, we hold:
- Account details: your name, email address and password. Your password is stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form that nobody, including us, can read.
- Profile details, if you choose to add them: a nickname, a phone number and a profile photo.
- Membership details: your member number, your membership plan, its status and dates, and your check-ins.
- Payments: what you paid, when, and any refunds. Card payments are taken by Stripe on its own secure page. We never see or store your card number; Stripe tells us only the card type and its last four digits, so you can recognise it.
- Your darts: the matches you play and score, down to each visit and leg; your practice sessions, goals and achievements; your bookings, competition entries and challenges; and the statistics and rankings worked out from them.
- Your phone: a push-notification token for each phone you sign in on, and the notifications you have chosen to receive.
- Our records: notes our staff add to your member record, which version of our terms you accepted and when, and a log of changes staff make, such as correcting a match result.
The app uses your camera only to scan QR codes, and your photo library only to pick a profile photo. It does not collect your location or contacts, contains no advertising, and has no analytics or tracking tools.
3. Why we use it
- To run your account and membership, record your matches and take your payments. We need to do this to provide the service you signed up for (performing our contract with you).
- To show your results on leaderboards, in match histories and in competitions, and to work out your statistics and achievements. This is part of the service, and in our legitimate interest in running fair, competitive darts.
- To send notifications about your bookings, your matches and the venue. You can turn these off at any time in the app’s Settings or in your phone’s settings.
- To keep payment and accounting records, which the law requires.
- To keep the service secure, prevent misuse and settle disputes, such as a contested result (our legitimate interests).
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Who can see it
- Other players see your name or nickname, your profile photo, and your results where you appear on a leaderboard, in a match, a competition or a challenge.
- Our staff see your profile, membership, payments and activity, so they can check you in, manage bookings and help you.
- Service providers who run parts of the service for us, under contract and only on our instructions: Supabase, which hosts our database, sign-in and stored photos (on servers in Ireland); Stripe, which takes card payments and runs membership subscriptions; Expo, Apple and Google, which deliver push notifications to your phone; and The Lilybank Agency, which built and maintains the app and hosts the staff web system.
- Anyone the law requires us to share it with, such as the police or a court.
5. Where it is stored
Our database is in the EU (Ireland). Some providers, such as Stripe and Expo, may process information in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected as UK law requires, by the UK’s adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum.
6. How long we keep it
- Your account and your darts records are kept for as long as you have an account.
- When you delete your account, we remove your profile, photo, contact details and phone tokens within 30 days. Matches you played in are kept, because other players’ results depend on them, but your name is removed from them.
- Payment records are kept for six years after the end of the financial year they belong to, because UK tax law requires it.
- Anything we need to settle a dispute is kept until the dispute is resolved.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete your information
- stop or limit how we use it
- give it to you in a form you can take to another service
Email marketing@thelilybankagency.co.uk to use any of these rights. We reply within one month. You can delete your account yourself in the app: Profile → Settings → Delete my account.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
8. Keeping it safe
Everything is sent over encrypted connections, and the database lets each person see only what their role allows: a player sees their own account, and staff see only their venue.
9. Age
Dartmann is for players aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly hold information about anyone younger. If you think we do, email us and we will delete it.
10. Cookies
The app does not use cookies. The staff web system sets only the cookies it needs to keep staff signed in, and none for tracking or advertising.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell you in the app first.
